So, just to clear things up; zwzsg style transport script?

I wonder if you could use LUA to script the whole interaction.

I think it'll be just as difficult balancing so that it's reasonably fair that a cheap light air-ground unit has the potential to take down one of the biggest, nastiest unit in the game... :?

no, it's always been balanced by making it really light, that way it is only effective against a lone AT-AT without any support

perhaps; but the ATAT can clearly be seen to be shooting down an airspeeder on Hoth - and those ATAT's can't really be said to be totally unsupported (though, they definitely had no fighter cover).

That being said... it's not like I have any difficulty fudging canon in order to make a better game ;)

More tasters. Mostly not new stuff, but we've fixed up a few issues we were having due to shading etc, with the new Upspring.

I don't think you guys have seen the awing texx yet, though it has been lying around for a little while...

We're still after talented texture artists and modellers to help us speed along this release :)

I have heard that there shall be 4 different factions: Rebels, Imperials, CIS, and Republic. Is this true?

And after looking at the pics, the storms look alot better, they no longer have those stupid pointy helmets. :P When do we get to see the new Rebel pics?

There are no plans for four factions currently.

It is more important that we finish the current 2 sides before thinking about 4 sides.

Essentially, no.

Two out of those three photos feature rebel units!

As for infantry, our super-talented organic skinner has gone super-MIA, so we're back to square one with them, unfortunately. The models have been done, we just need to texture them, and texturing low-poly organics is no easy task.

I noticed that the Rebels have faces, are you keeping those or you getting better ones? Besides, whose face is that anyway if it is someone's face?

GenericMan has kindly lent us the rights to use his face on our troopers.

Is there any news on when we can expect a beta or alpha test release of this new version?

nah, I am not watching it bloom, I am seeing it in parts like photographs. Watching it would be more like a video with all frames.

Oh, and it possible to make something like a commander (not the commander) for troopers so that they could be more accurate or something? :?:

And you know how the Imps have the construction droid, well i say to change it to this http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/ASP-7

No news on release at the moment. I daresay that is a little way off, because we've got quite a lot of work to do, and our whole team is extremely busy with RL stuff at the moment. Hopefully we'll get some stuff done over the Easter Break.

... but keep your eyes open over the next week or so for something completely different ;)

What about letting the player see a peek of a face inside some of the cockpits?

There is next to no way to do that and have it look good without actually modelling in the cockpit and person... which is a massive waste of polygons.

Golan Anti-Infantry Turret.

Guy is just for fun, though we may include a trooper in the model proper ;)
