just released my first map, and, as it is a first, i'd LOVE to get some feedback on it :)

specifically how? i did want drastic obstacles, so units have to actually mind the heightmap but can also find very good cover.Guessmyname wrote:lower the heights - the texture map is good, but the heightmap needs work
yea, i quiet liked the flow of brazilian battlefield. really, i found the ground to be too boringly level though. i tried to find a balance between a clear layout and interesting height-differences. if u think its too rough, maybe i should look into it once more.knorke wrote:heights might be ok but the difference between flat land and mountains might need more contrast.
could be hard to build on the wobbly ground.
(reminds me of brazilian battlefield)
"weird places" meaning what? steep slopes or worse?Goolash_ wrote:looks nice, i'll have to give it a try. Might be a little porcy but too bad.
Also, some trees seem to be placed in weird places, but overall looks good.
thanks. i had that fantastic idea to make the name of all of my spring maps start with She (short for shedeki...). turns out, there are only about 10 maps this'll allow me to create, n sheep is really one of the nicer choices :phrmph wrote:Looks nice; although the name inspired an immediate "Oh no not another joke map" reaction. ;)
