You'd have to modify the ghosted buildings for units-as-features then so that there was no transparency, as well as enabling all of them to be immediately visible...

in a fast my thing anout...
1. More large map
2. More configurable environment in map (dynamic sun/night, cloud and etc.)
3. More confugurable rule (cofigurable keymap joystic and other...)

implement some sort of cpu benchmarking in unitsync.
run a predefined script that spams fighters, monitor the average cpu usage for a short time period, save it in a log file, and the lobbyclient wil read and show it.

then...

people can host big games for fast computers owners only without lag, while the slower ones can have some fun playing smaller games, without getting kicked because they are lagging a big game.
