You could do a Google search and see what comes up as far as places selling it.

Community, meet Mr. Lost CD.

Mr. Lost CD, meet the "we're a shinning beacon of anti-piracy" community.

With that out of the way, I'm sure you'll find a no-cd h4x @ http://fileuniverse.com

My local independent game store (UK) still sells TA packed in with TA: kingdoms for £5.

It's great having an independent as a local :)

Pirating the greatest game ever made (commercially) isn't cool. Besides you can get it for less than $10 these days. When my OTA CD started behaving funny I got the Commander Pack for like $8.75.

Actually, if he did own a legal copy of OTA, AFAIK it's legal to download a copy of the CD to use, since you do have, somewhere, a legal copy of the game.

It's certainly been the case with my copy of Starlancer, which my tutor hasn't murdered me over yet (he was one of the level designers...)

To play TA based mods "legally" you need to own a copy of Total Annihilation. However, the spring engine itself is open-source and free.
