half the spring population dont realise somthing is there unless you force them to try it/ why not set the LUA ui tickbox as enabled by default on new installations?

To be honest you don't want to add extra complexity to the game when people first join. It is hard enough to explain to someone the basics when they jump straight into your battle having only just installed the game.

Maybe once the bug causing the host to (occasionally) crash is sorted out (only happenned to me once), it might be worth doing. Still, people are still not going to use it unless they know to press F11 (which most don't :? )

I think it should certainly be on by default sooner or later, but not necessarily next release. The way its looking the upgraded Gui may end up being some linked LUA widgets at the moment (which is on the whole to be welcomed) and apparenenty a lot of tutorial funcionality would be possible through LUA widgets from the next build onwards. Both of those are things we don´t want people missing out on, or having to look into how to switch it on. So when it no longer causes crashes, it´ll probably be made default.

LuaUI should be turned on next release, as the major issues with it have likely already been fixed.
