I experience random driver crashes running spring with the 100.65 8800 series drivers. I've tried reporting this to nvidia but they havent responded yet.

After installing the Catalyst 7.2s, I no longer crash in Spring but the display output is still totally corrupted. I am going to keep toying with it then submit the bug to ATI.

I managed to get an infolog from a crash and put it in Mantis, but I am not sure it'll be much use.

Assuming SDL devs didn't break ABI compatibility between 1.2.9/10 and 1.2.11 you can probably just replace SDL.dll with one from the SDL site if you are experiencing problems that you want to (try to) solve immediately rather then waiting for the next spring release.

I just tried this, it didn't fix the problem but it didn't seem to break anything for what its worth.

Anyway, apparently it works for some people but not other. I've got a report of a guy with a mobility Radeon X600 playing with the 7.1 Catalysts. The two of us who have the same crash seem to have an X800XL and an X850 which makes me wondering if its some bug specific to our cards or something, I just don't know. Have you had a chance to check out the infologs we posted in Mantis?
