I doubt it is that difficult to make them mix in instead of overlaying. It would be soooo much more useful than it is right now. At best it should be user-definable in the FBI so it doesn't break anything.

s3oTeamColor=default;
^ s3oTeamcolor=overlay;
s3oTeamColor=multiply;
s3oTeamColor=mix;
s3oTeamColor=additive;
etc.

Also, could someone explain to me why there is no "no team colour", i.e. 0,0,0? A value of 1,1,1 can be noticed on the texture, it's barely notable but it is. And it buggers me. It'd be better if team colour ranged from 0-254 instead of 1-255.
