Bug in Idle Cons widget

Post by Dihi »

I find the Idle Cons widget to be very useful, but thought I should report this problem (and see if anyone else has experienced it).

I was hosting a game of XTA, played fine for about 5 mins then an error message appeared in the console: something to do with IdleCons LUA performing a comparision with zero. The game froze and I needed to reboot :(.

Apologies if this isn't the correct place to post this, but I thought that a bug in such a useful script is a shame and something should be done about it (sadly I am a LUA nub, so don't have a clue about such things).

Thanks

LuaUI and hosting just isn't a nice combination, I think that's more the problem than the widget.

Yup. If your hosting, just disable all your LUA stuff as it likely won't work.
This will be fixed next version. (I hope)

Oh I see. I think someone mentioned that in #main the other day (something useful in main, whatever next!). Ah well, I guess it might be time to get my other PC working as a bot host.

Hope this does get fixed in the next version :|

It has already been fixed and the fix will be included in the next version.

We're talking about this.

You're funny. You say you've no idea what we're talking about, yet you were the second person to post in the thread informing about the problem.

Well I still haven't had that problem, guess I'm lucky. The post was for if I started, or for any other windows users who had the problem.

If an error message is shown then its gonna be a bug in the widget... the bug has most likely been fixed and i'll probly release it when mat makes his widget pack thingy.

also on the subject of buggy widgets i played a long game the other day when i started to get spammed by errors even after i had turned all the widgets off :!: , wierd huh! (went back to normal after I /luaui reload'ed)

Well the pack is on hold atm because I'm having some random lua crashes. Unfortunately it's not saving anything to infolog.txt, so I don't have much to go on.
