A map for Kernel Panic

Post by Boirunner »

Hello, I have a favor to ask.

The computer I am forced to be on these days is very shitty. That means, it's CPU is prone to overheat and make a cold reboot necessary. This means I have to play Spring at 640x480, and can't play any maps larger than 8x8. Yeah, it sucks. I'll be back at my own computer in about a month or so.

Anyway, this also has as a consequence that I can't handle images large enough to make big maps. And I really would like to have a larger map for Kernel Panic. The same layout as the one I made (marble madness), but just twice as large. But yeah, my computer can't handle images of that size.

This is the current heightmap.

The current featuremap.

You'll have to download the texturemap from rapidshare: (12 mb) http://rapidshare.com/files/17451488/te ... p.bmp.html If you don't want to, its a 32x32 grid, where of every 32x32 square the outer rim is yellow and everything else is black, thus leaving a 2 pixel wide grid. At geo locations, four squares are filled out with yellow. Geos are at grid intersections.

Anyway, if somebody could blow all these up to double size and make a map out of them, I'd be very happy. If not, no problem, I'll do it myself when I get back to my own computer.

Of course, if you'd like to make a more interesting, different map with a graphical style suiting KP, I'd love that and you would be my internet Jesus ;)

edit: I could enlarge the height- and featuremap myself, but even loading gimp is a hit and miss on this damned machine. I have to keep the window open, the cover off, and the door closed to do anything except browse the internet :(
