Map packs don't work anymore, IIRC. You hafta have separate files for each map. If you want a lot of maps in one go, though, there is the map torrent, but that's several GB in size.....

thanks strategia
but what you mean with "they dont work anymore"?
why should they not work? it would be a collection of files of the most played maps... maybe someone can name these?

What Strategia is talking about is lots of maps in one map file, that used to work but no longer does.

You're talking about something like a lot of maps in separate map files in a zip or something. There have been a couple of packs like that but nobody actually agrees on what you would include. There are a few common maps which almost always have a game (Altored Divide and Small Supreme Battlefield V2, along with the "gimmick" maps Green Fields and Speedmetal) but apart from that you just download maps as you go along.

What the hell is the point in such packs? Making it harder to handle the map files invidually?

It saves space and helps to group similar maps together.

For example the DeltaSiege pack was something like 30mb while separately they were about 25mb.
