I figured that quite a lot of mods could make good use of heat. A universal status bar system like KDR proposed is even better and the way to go.

This would offer many new opportunities gameplay wise and more. I wasn't even thinking of heat sources on maps, yes that'd be truely awesome. Speaking of which, quicksand anyone? Quicksand reducing accuracy? Quicksand resisting units? Yes I was thinking of Gundam (BuCUEs).

Even if this just gets lost between all those feature requests, I sincerely hope it will be regarded for OSRTS (or CE).

OSRTS or CE, what ever you prefer to refer to the new project.

Sorry smoth but it was the first of Gundam I've seen! :P
I do like the BuCUE design for they are half quadropod, half tank, at least some of them. Was just the first thing popping into my head when thinking about dynamic terrain...
