some weapon bugs

Post by bobthedinosaur »

ive been testing the old mechwars mod in spring an a number of errors occur do to wierd trasnfering of weapon systems from toa to spring, either that or i probably made some mistakes. heres a short list of what i got so far, just any suggestions id apreciate or if its already beign worked on.

1) line of fire weapons (ie gauss weapons, not so different from the fido's) shoot in funny arcing trajectories
2)missiles and other weapons have no weapon models
it seems th ota mod is like that as well

It's something that can be easilly implanted but they haven't had to the time do so, hence a quick hack to make the projectile weapons work.

This will be fixed and is a known bug, I believe there are pieces of code available to let you have models shown.

as for the Gauss weapons, this could be solved by changing gauss rounds into lasers, so their trajectory will be completely flat, the side effect would be that they would look like lasers, but atleast it would work.

1. Odd that, LOS weapons in TACW fire LOS... perhaps the velocity is an issue?

2, its coded that way. Sean Mirrsen has written code to allow for OTA 3do type weapon models
