For all mantis admins, I think it's a good idea to have some policy to remove outdated issues because they're just polluting the views.

From now on I'll ask feedback on relatively old items that are not feature requests nor good bug reports (with working reproduction instructions): "Does this still happen in Spring <latest version>?" Then, if there are no new comments for one month I'll close the issue with "closed -> can not reproduce".

I would be great if others with sufficient mantis privileges could do this too.

It would also be cool if you could set status to confirmed if you managed to reproduce it.

Welcome, anyhow those were the 'easy' ones. I will try to check 'harder' ones, but probably I will be on the road more or less for the next 2 weeks...

I would suggest making the fields "Product Build" and "OS" mandatory. Also maybe it will be nice if they would be enumerations. I've read in mantis manual that this is possible, but didn't try it myself though.

Also in my opinion "Severity" has too many options (tweak, text, trivial are not very usefull)...

And Linux I think it would be more appropriate as OS rather than Category :P .

@P3374H: there are many ideas in mantis :-) . But don't you get really pissed when after 1 hour game it desyncs ? (or crashes or..) So hopefully when this is solved people will have more time to implement nice things.

Thanks, I closed/marked as duplicate/requested feedback on a lot of those items. Some are valid bug reports tho, that just need someone to confirm it & then to fix it. (Like e.g. the enemy buildings finished building withing LOS don't leave a ghost one)

What resolution should we use for bug that appear to have been fixed, but we don't necessarily know how: fixed, no change, or suspended?

I just use resolved->fixed for that (just like for normally fixed reports) with a note that it appears fixed, and asking them to reopen the issue if it happens again.

Suggestion: People who have a lot of open Mantis entries like Argh, Bug Hunter, NOiZE, and Smoth should look through all their old bugs and close ones that have been handled. You guys and a few others have 5 or so unassigned open bugs, and cleaning these up could help a lot. (I of course appreciate all the reports, lord knows I have submitted a few myself, we just need to cleanup the old stuff) Anyway, we are down to 97 remaining unassigned/closed mantis entries so we are making some progress.

Feature request to allow hosts to disable pausing to stop exploits where people pause for more micromanagement time. Should be assigned, closed, or perhaps changed to implement the second option suggested which is do not allow orders to be issued during game pauses.

Bug where units will attack ground when a unit moves out of range. I am unsure as to whether this is occurring, but if the ground attack code is undergoing revision right now with Flozi's patch it should probably be closed and reposted if it continues occurring. This is from Februrary 06.

regarding lobby issues, I would prefer if you weren't closing them, since I occasionally go through them and pick some up for handling :)
If nothing else, they are a reference for me for future improvements, and I do close them once I implement/fix them in new versions, although that sometimes takes rather long time (even over a year, yes) :)

That was mine, I think, and yes it still happens.

It can be worked around by just assigning the weapon a damage of 0.00000001 though.
