That sounds good. What other useful downloads did you have in mind and to what person should such a request be made?

links to every single mod in alphabetical order (as to not cause any isues :P (MWUHAHAHAHA XTA AT DA BOTTOM)) and things like malestroms mapping tools and that map making thing and the various AI's...?

maybe.

and if they get really touchy a big note saying SPRING IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH THESE FILES DIRECTLY, DOWNLOAD THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK... etc.

I think SpringSP shouldn't be distributed in the spring installer unless it goes GPL and in our SVN, otherwise it'll be way too much hassle to create proper source packages (ie. with source for everything in the installer, as is required by GPL).

Putting a link to it on our downloads section seems like an ideal compromise, no "problems" with syncing release cycles, licenses, source repositories, etc.

In case people haven't noticed there is now a link on the downloads page to springsp on UF. I've noticed a jump in the number of downloads on UF so the new link is definitely helping :-) . The link appeared before I even enquired about putting a link there, so thank you to whoever did it.

Now to keep you all updated:
I haven't done much since the last release. I've only just begun working on loading map info such as map size and win speed etc. from tasclients cache.

Ray who has made some code contributions in previous releases is making a replay filter so you can filter the replays by map or mod. So that could be in the next release.

I'm going to resize the TA theme windows to 800x600 like the other two themes(this is partly to make room for the replay filter options).

And anyone with the mod "The Blue Tanks v.09{fixed}" may have noticed an error message because the { and } characters mess up the mod caching. So what I plan to do is use a < instead of a { and a > instead of a } in the mods.txt file(and just hope that no mods come out with a < or > character in the name :| ).
