We have a problem with moderators, in that not many of them like to stick around. Uusually when I'm on there are either 2 or 3 moderators of which they're all afk and not answering, or 1 single moderator whose busy.
Suffice to say some of the topics in #main are quite apalling.
Whatsmore everyon thinks that we're fine on the forums because they dont realize the moderators are dissapearing.
Ontop of that are moderators are chosen by betalord who rarely ever logs into the main server nevermind monior chat and see whose trustworthy or not.
I first propose we register #main via chanserv and have #main specific channel operators, so that we dont have to hand them the full privilledges of a server moderators.
We should also de-op moderators who havent been logged in for a month.
And swiftspear should go about recruiting moderators.
There's also the issue that some moderators never use their powers. I for one have only seen [LCC] moderators wield their power as of late.
At the time of writing the only moderators online are quantum and lordmatt, at 4:07PM. And they're usually on all the way till 3:00AM. The only other mdoerator I can remember seeing is Noize, and I've noticed some people asking where he's been.
Some rules for the moderators would be nice
Moderator: Moderators
tbh lordmatt, quantum and decimator are the only active mods at the moment
that pauladiaiaia (sorry cant remember the name) person is sometimes on
Noize is busy with st000f (dictator - france) and he used to be on all the time, now matt is getting more and more busy with stuff.

mods are human. they see a snipped of text containing old daddy H, maybe a PM from someone saying they are offended and they mute you and go back to whatever they were doing previously. if you think its unfair you PM the mod with your case and they either unmute or refuse.
no point getting worked up about it, most the mods are decent guys, just have to plead your case.

Hawkki, free speech is a wonderful thing, and I greatly enjoy my right to it as a citizen of the US. That being said, here in this private establishment, you have no rights whatsoever.
Hawkki you really fail. Quantum is probably the most layed back moderator in spring, and always warns before muting people. If you didn't see the warning, that's your fault not his. Making a thread about this, rather than pming quantum to ask for clarification/another chance, makes it clear you're a troublemaker. Please do rage quit spring over the mute, you would make the community a better place by leaving.
About the low number of active mods, we will get some more soon, I think.

Betalord and only betalord recruits moderators for the lobby server. Which is fair enough being that it's on his box.AF wrote: And swiftspear should go about recruiting moderators.
Cuppy: I haven't been on recently because my PC is having seasures. My vid card fritzed on me and I had to reformat windows to get the driver issues resolved.
This thing is an old box a shit, but it's prolly what I'm stuck with for a while at least. I'll try to spend more time on now that I've got it temporarily working again.
