Hello!

Post by oQuotient2 »

Hello guys! I'm new to TA Spring, but I played TA for about 6 years.

I have a question. How do you get the radar jammer tower unit? It's from the video15.

Thanks!

I doubt this is a bot... Still a bit odd...

As for the radar jammer tower, it's mod specific. In XTA and AA it's a T2 building buildable only by the L2 builders.

why in the world would a bot ask what is the jamming building in video15?

Uh? Haven't you ever seen bots that takes random words from the sites they're on to try to make a post sound like it actually was meant for the forum before?

Then put a spam link in profile?

Really, you underestimate bots. This might not be one, but it's certainly not something a bot couldn't do.

And who the hell ever fills in occupation, interests and location with anything sensible?

Nay, WWW field even!

Plus, typing in red and having good grammar but FAILING at the part of "the video15" is ahem... a bit too weird.

The "Location: 12561 Lucille Avenue, CA" part is a bit weird too.

If it's a bot it's a good clip too sensible to be banned right now. Yes I've seen many many many bots that take random words from the site they are browsing, generally speaking they are laughably obvious. If this is a bot it's at least well written enough for me to wait and see if it's going to actually advertise something, THEN WE BAN IT!

It's extremely scary to see how quick some are to ban new faces. Also, I wish to hereby insult, and with strong language, everybody who think it's a bot.

Google Maps search for Lucille Avenue turns up something just north of NY.

That said, I have suspicions, but I'm not claiming this to be a bot outright.

Mm, yeah. But in my experience that's usually not along the lines of "12561 Lucille Avenue, CA", more along the lines of "In your head, just behind and to the right of that weird dream you had last week".

Why don't we test suspected bots by trying to elicit an intelligent response? Ask them a bit about where they're from, what they do for a living, what the square root of the cube root of 7054034 is, etc?

I can't believe a thread about whether somebody who has made 2 non spammy non advertising posts is a bot or not has got to 18 replies.
