Fancy range rings in latest version

Post by Caydr »

What all is represented by the new range rings? What do the different colors represent?

Should I begin the process of removing all my hacky "weapon" range rings, or are there still some units I'll have to use these for?

Asking for colours is pointless as they change depending on what values you put in cmdcolors.txt. A quick test should tell you whats changed, should only take 5 mins max.

Oops, didn't get those into the changelog. Here's a partial
listing from: svn log rts/Game/UI/CommandColors.cpp

Code: Select all

* Added rangeShield, rangeInterceptorOn, and rangeInterceptorOff to cmdcolors.txt

* Added the following colors to cmdcolors.txt, as well as to
the display of units being built, and the unit being pointed at:
    rangeRadar
    rangeSonar
    rangeSeismic
    rangeJammer
    rangeSonarJammer

* Better rendering of move fronts (contoured to the map)

* Made LayoutButtons() optional (LuaUI no longer has any required call-ins)
