working on a new water map ..

Post by genblood »

I'm in the process of designing a new water map. The main texture
map is going to change. This map is designed more for naval battles
and some air support. All the metal deposits are in the water areas.
I figure this would be a change from my last maps I've done.
Here are some screenies of the work ing process ...

Remember I'm still working on it ... :?

Due to Christimas, I have some major free time .... I only thing I have to
due is build a custom PC for a friend and wrap presents ...

My friend is getting a AMD64 X2 5200+ ,2GB, 2 320GBHD,2 BFG 7950s
and DVD,DVD-RW ... I figure .. good friends are hard to find ...

Plus knowing the right people .. things are sometimes free.. :-)

Hey, lookin pretty good dude!

Might wanna turn up your Terrain LOD settings for screenies though. Still, It's pretty easy to see the design and concept. Very nice!

you should try blending out your rock texture so that you wont get that layered feel.

You're planning on killing your friend and stealing his PC? I can't say I necessarily approve, however the map does loop pretty good.

Less dark. Remove the underwater 'water' texture, such things are fail.
