Ok I made it so the only way to close the traffic window is via the toggle button so you cant close it then have to press the button twice.

I also decreased the horizontal margins on the toolbar buttons and made them wider so that they dont end up looking like the screenshot kloot posted.

I also changed some double buffering settings on the splash screen and made the background of the lobby login page opaque.

I also made the lobby fully disconnect on a logout.
you get an 'already logged in' message
Unfortunately this is a flaw in the server and the protocol, not AFLobby, and you can get this error in tasclient too. The protocol needs an extra command such as "LOGOUT" to prevent this happening, and although it will still happen, about 60% of all occurences stop.

Right, i have figured out why linux is dodgy:

When run under gnome which uses GTK it fails to set the theme correctly giving errors like this:
/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:60: Engine "clearlooks" is unsupported, ignoring
Yet under KDE which does not use GTK it has no such problems and loads fine.

So the problem is with GTK theme detection.

Notes re. alpha 10.5:

* The minimize button is non-functional.

* On the 'Battles' tab the column holding the tabs overlaps roughly the right half of the 'Join' button (screenshot).

look for the game you wanna join, note down the id, then type it in the box and press join.

Rest assured the current battle list and joining method is horrific compared to the luxurious replacement I'm putting in once battle protocol is completed. But right now it works, it might not be user friendly in any way shape or form, but it works.

Looks very promising.

But there is one little annoyance I can do without, when clicking buttons it performs the buttons action when you click in the mouse - not when you release the mouse button.

That was the first test yesterday, and the code just finished means I should be able to play XTA small divide multiplayer as long as the other ppl use AFLobby.

AFLobby has basic multiplayer functionality
