Anyone want to suggest some headphones?
For Xmas, i've decided to finally exploit it and use it to get what I want. I havent done this since I was 4.
Anyways, I have a good ear. Im somewhat of an audiophile.
I'll be pairing what ever headphones with a Creative X-FI
Sennheiser 280 HD, is so far what i've looked at.
Im looking for 3 things.
1. Comfortable at a minimum of 4 hour usage.
2. Sound quality, not an overpowering bass.
3. Under 125 CAD.

I'm using Sony MDR-XD200's, and while I have had headphones with better sound quality in the past they have all gotten wreaked when I accidentally tugged on the cord as I was getting out of the computer chair. Comparatively I'm fairly sure these sony's are invincible... At least they have handled alot more punishment with alot less damage. The cord shielding seems to be top class. They are also extremely comfortable compared to other headphones I've had. They don't cramp the ears at all.
[edit] it's worth mentioning that I only game or use the computer with headphones, so these headphones have a good couple thousand hours worth of usage time at least already and they still work just as good as when I got them about a year and a half ago. They have taken no damage or had any quality loss. Also many times they have been used as many as 20 straight hours without producing discomfort.

Im buying a pair of Siberia Icemats sometime soon, i've heard they are pretty good but the thing that made me decide is how cool they looked

I got some Sennheiser HD-555 Headphones, and they are the muts nuts (english slang for good). Seeing as there very similare I'd rekon theyed be good. Only differances are that the 280s are closed not open.

I have the cheapest headset I could get at Radio Shack and it is more than good enough for me.
My reccomendation is to get the most flexible pair possible, though. You could have a perfect frequency response curve, but it means nothing if you can't wear them for more than ten minutes without getting a headache from your skull being crushed. Look for free flexibility in the earpieces, the microphone, and the bridge that goes over your head.

Don't use any audio equipment worth more than $20 while playing Spring.
