I think some people work on the IA, at least, the IA forum is active.

GUI really need improvement. Now I think it take too much place. I would like a lighter GUI.

Spherical Terrain could be cool for those who like to make planet. And for the other too of course.

Ressurection I would put at the top, I'd love that feature back.

Spherical Terrain is the last thing on the list. That is so difficult and would require a complete overhaul of the system. So no thanks.

A GUI update would be nice, but it's working right now, so I'd like to see it updated after other stuff is working.

I would like to add to the list though.

The ability to "Level" terain as well as "lower" and "raise" terrain. This could be done with existing construction vehicles as well as a "new" type of unit per SY code.

Skirmish AI would be nice, but again, it's a lot of work.

Looks like all of those things need to be done. Skirmish AI is being worked on by someone on the dev team though.

Everything else is wide open, I think...

The only two urgent changes I see for the GUI are:
- being able to give orders through the minimap
- having smaller fonts in the message box, and being able to configure how many lines of text it shows at once

I think the most important part not being worked on at the moment is the ingame GUI. There is a mostly ready new one but its still not working good enough to be better than the old one. So if someone could fix that one it would be good. It feels a bit stupid to carry out a lot of work on the old one since it will probably be replaced anyway.

Uhm, it would also help to be able to get word-wrap on the "say:" part when you are typing in chat messages. Also, having a scrollbar or something in the map selection screen (when acting as a server locally using the commanders script) so that when you have more the 30 maps you can acctually see them all.

SJ: How do I for example order a group of bombers to attack an area? Or tell some artillery to bombard within the radius of a point where I suspect enemies of being?

Area attack isnt implemented for ground units yet, just air units.

Actually, only for aerial fighter units. I think bombers and gunships can't area attack.

New GUI + Minimap commands

I've read about this a couple of times - can somebody explain what is better about the new GUI? I really like the in-game GUI as it is. My main gripe is that you can't give orders on the mini-map. I usually send groups of units on patrol around the map to kill off enemy mexes/the cons building them, or just to hassle the enemy. It's pretty time consuming doing that when you can't use the minimap.

Is giving commands on the minimap a possibility?

Cheers
