Most new players dont even know what it means too, Ive had some guys shout at me for giving them handicaps,

"Hey! its not good enough that your entire clan and its 100 hour stars are all on one team, you want to handicap us too? screw this, see ya losers!"

At least if you could negatively handicap a star player, the term "handicap" may make a bit more sense ^^

To keep everyone happy, and to avoid confusion over the term "handicap" there should be a slider or whatever for 1- 100 bonus and 1-100 handicap that the host can use to give to any player of his/her choice.

Why, as AF pointed out to me, should we make it 2 sliders when we only need 1. Simply make the current one scale not from 0 to 100, but from -100 to 100
Whatever really, I was concentrating arguing the point about having the ability to negatively handicap, but having one slider from -100 to 100 would make sense, just as long as its clear that the +ve numbers mean a bonus to resources so we dont get noobs like you complaining we're giving you a disadvantage when really we're making it easier for you ^^

Should also lock to the center so restoring 0 is easy instead of carefully trying to align the slider pixel-perfect.

It doesnt lock as it is, its impossible to give a value of 1000 energy or metal or 500 untis once you move the sldiers.

AFLobby does have snap to nearest however, it also has a little spinner control allowing you to type in the value you want on demand..
