OH!

We were playing a 3v3 game on Painted Desert a long time ago with 2 specs.

Anyways, the game has been going for a while. I build some snipers, cloak one, set it to hold fire, and send it on a nice long scouting mission through one of my enemy's bases. This enemy just happened to be the host.

An ally of mine starts building LRPCs. I set my sniper near the enemy's main base area (fusions, moho mexes, advanced factory). My ally's LRPCs start precisely shelling his buildings.

Next thing we know, the host starts accusing the specs of telling us where his stuff is so that we can bomb it. He blusters and makes all sorts of threats if they don't stop. Finally he kicks the specs.

I then move on to another part of his base and call in more accurate LRPC fire.

The host was very, very confused and angry after this.

(Note: this game was before the heyday of the unholy flash spam.)

During the time when NOiZE was spamming the Balanced Annihilation link, there were loads of people calling him a noob for saying weasels are overpowered. People seem to think that anything that isn't Caydr is somehow awful and not balanced and made by noobs.

If he integrates the wrong ones, I think some of us are going to have to form a hit squad and teach Caydr (and Day) some Spring justice.

That, or the con bots building at the same speed (or faster) than con vehs, or whatever other changes made kbots uberpwn vehicles in general...

Well none of those changes are my favorites, however it is very important that the majority of the BA changes make it into AA, otherwise good players will still prefer BA.

Whats wrong with solars not costing any e? Just take all the changes....

Because it makes the Wind generator obsolete on a number of maps where it shouldn't be. I went into it in more detail in the Balanced Annihilation thread.

not really, in BA solars cost 141 metal
and wind cost 42 metal and 150 Energy (with a 60 to 1 rate) thus 44 metal


So if the average wind is above 7 then its alrady worth building winds.

also winds build quicker.

THE best thing that could happen IMO, if caydr lets me (or someone else dnno doesnt really matter) take over AA, and he goes do GEM! >:D
