Is there a way to either automate the process so a svn compile and be used out of the box, a script maybe? Or to actually change the source so no changes are needed?

To really use an svn-compile out of the box there needs to be a native Linux lobby, changing the source won't help there. Or do you mean automating det's workaround itself?
