Sins of a Solar Empire

Post by Dragon45 »

http://smuggoat.net/

lil' snippet:

What they are essentially promising is a real-time Galactic Civilization, or a more epic Homeworld 2. What they want us to gather is an impression of epic galactic-scale colonization and combat, with control over everything from what base type you should construct in a particular asteroid field, to what solar system should next array its fleet for a hyperspace assault. All in real time, all on epic scale.

smughoaring!

but its cool

I think this seriously has more potential than supcom ATM

Hopefully it gets enough time and money put into it to be a good game

*drool* :(

I'm still waiting for the perfect space sim... at best mix HW with MoO2 on an epic scale and if this game keeps it promises it might just be what I'm looking for since ages.

EVE is amazing in terms of its scope and depth, but the problem is that its pay-for-play and its an MMORPG. I personally stay away from those as a rule ;)

I had some mates who did that too. They dont anymore. ;)
Also, if you're a moneymaking (read mining or simply pvping well) bastid, you can pay the monthly fee in ingame money :)
rate goes at about 130 mil/1month and i could easily make that money in a month. Im a 5 month old char atm btw.

Eve won't run here, also theres the monthly fee...

Uh yeah the only MMORPG experience I have was the Anarchy Online beta and WoW. I agree with Dragon45 on that, it consumes lots of time and money and it's just not worth it. :-)

I'd rather play such a game with a couple of friends than million of random monkeys.
