NTai, of course!

There's supposedly going to be another release this weekend.

AAI is highly stable, and it learns.

There they all should be if you are interested.
I do not know if OTAI or JCAI work with the current version of Spring, but TSI and CSAI are also listed there, and they may.

Best AI atm: none. Not even one seems to work proper.
NTAI, well yeah what AF said, next version. KAI needs fixing. AAI works with some mods and after a recompile it works with FF 1.19 but nothing else (for me that is). Haven't tried TSI or CSAI yet.
From previous experience the best non-cheating AIs were NTAI and AAI and the most challenging (and cheating) one are KAI (maphack) or NTAI (toggleable resource cheat).
I think it's up to personal preference. I'm usually using AAI cause it's easy to set up and it learns in a way I understand...

Well, the latest version of NTai uses maphacks, but now it could probably beat the old KAI. Unfortunately KAI doesn't currently work. And for me at least, NTai crashes with divide by 0 errors very quickly.
The only working AIs right now are NTai, AAI, and CSAI, and IMO NTai when it doesn't crash puts up a better fight.
edit: Of course, that's the NTai version that I have, which is probably much better than whatever the curent public version is.
