I think it is more of cancer than AIDS. :wink:
Cancer = mutated rougue cells;
AIDS = the disease caused by a virus (HIV) that wipes out the immunity system.

Bionicle: the AIDS of lego
XTAIDS: the AIDS of xta
No Bionicle! No! No Bionicle! No! No Bionicle! No! No Bionicle! No! No Bionicle! No! No Bionicle! No! No Bionicle! No! I hate Bionicle, if you add that, it may be plastic and legolike, but they do not have souls like those lovely legos. This is a warning!

What is XTAIDS?
eXtra-Terrible Aquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome?

EDIT: Oh I know what it is, but haven't tried it yet. Is it so terrible?

Rattle, watchoo talking about. The technic side is awesome now (thanks to the robots). But yeah 'artchitectural' lego sucks now.

Yeah. But maybe in the future, someone may make a mod (perhaps a sequel to this) called LEGO Spring: BFF (Battle For Freedom), that is, genuine LEGO (maybe EGADS allied with MAG) fight against the invading alien (bionicle and other new lego) to regain the freedom and creativity for all LEGO fans. :lol:

By the way, I think Technic is OK. It actually allow more degree of freedom, as the parts can interact with each other so that you can make machines that actually works (or doesn't) by your own. It really requires as much brain power to play with Technics. I think we can have Technics as lvl 3 or 4 experimental units (analogue of the Krog).

the orignal technic was good. it embodied the lego spirit quite well.

It went down hill the moment they started simplifying complex design issues down to a single, unresuable, and bizzare peice of lego. usually with an extremely limited number of connection points.

Yeah. That's exactly where the problem is. Actually, Bionicles aren't the first ones. Earlier there was a series of "flying disc thing" that were already non-reusable.

i have those!! they each had an element... like urban, lightning, fire, or what not. and yeah those were pretty pointless though i had some fun with em :o . I have to say the old space lego, im talking Space Police, Magnetron and all the stuff from the early 90s, was the best IMO

It's LEGO Digital Designer's fault. This program doesn't allow you to choose colour freely. Each brick can only have a few colours to choose. I tried it once, and immediately uninstalled it for this reason.
