If no one can join your game and you have a router

Post by FoeOfTheBee »

You need to adjust port forwarding. No one can join your game because the information that Spring sends stops at your router. You have to forward that information directly to your computer.

Spring communicates on these ports by default:

8452 both UDP and TCP and,
4897 TCP.

If you don't know how to set up port forwarding on your router, go here:
http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

Pick your router brand and model, then follow the instructions. Happy hosting.

I had to rip my UTP cord out of my router and stick it in my computer directly to get to play spring.

I can't remember how to adjust my router settings, I had to type in a certain IP adress in IE and it should allow me to change settings.

For most routers, you have to type in 192.168.1.1 to get to your routers menu.
