Battlezone esque unit controls
Wouldn't it be grand if we could do that sort of thing, order units around without having to leave the unit etc etc.

But should they have the old "BEEP BEEP BEEP" or the newer one where they go "THIS VEHICHL IS REVERSING, PLEASE STAND AWAY, THIS VEH..." in a smoth operators voice... personly id love the second one.tanks n kbots to be able to reverse... prehaps w that reversing tone trucks have
(NO WAIT!! It should be Beep Bepp, unless you use the SING cheat, then it should say vehiclal reversing... who here liked the sing cheat??)
On subject, I said yes, as it would be extremly usefull... also if we could drive in 3rd person?? Like in UT2004? That would be sweet.

I definitly agree on being able to give commands in FPS mode.
I also agree with strafe modes in particular units like Kbots and even Vehicles, I have suggested before that the chassis can just make a 90° turn to the side which it's strafing while the turret remains pointed forward, movement would be controlled with the mouse rather than the cursors and the turret would move with the mouse too, albeit faster than the chassis like Halo, aircraft controls should be similar, a third person mode would be nice too.
I think aircraft should be controlled with the mouse mainly as it is right now and you would always have the aiming circle centralized, the mouse will not turn faster than the unit, currently it's very hard to fire weapons because you need a lock on, and if it's not within tollerence of the weapon, guided weapons really suffer from this, air combat in FPS is close to imposible in OTA.
