Simply put:

Anything past the red bar is excess, If your allies storage isnt full then it overflows into your allies storage.

If your red bars at at 100% then excess wont go into your allies storage IIRC.

Thus, always share at 95-9%

Its best to share both e+m at 50% I think.
After the first few minutes you usually have more than enough energy and metal gets used up quite fast anyway...
I hate it when I see a replay and some guy has full storages and doesn't use it.
