How can you play alone in the "Sandbox" mode?

Post by oso »

This will sound stupid, but I don't know how to start the Sandbox mode. I select the script and then I can't see any units in the map, I can only see the map. And it says "Waiting for connections. Press return to start". How can I play alone? Please, explain me!

Thanks for handling that flozi, I'm not qualified to deal with this particular level of stupidity.

if indeed you are pressing return, but the game crashes (as happened to myself):

- update your video drivers
- try switching off some options from the settings dialog and try again.

for example I found that I needed to run it in windowed mode in order to make it work at first. (for some odd reason it seems happy now either way).

Sorry, but "return" is the backspace key? Sorry about saying that (you will believe that I'm a really stupid  ) but I have a Spanish version of keyboard (I'm Argentinian), so names and keys' orders are different. I only now that backspace key is used to change the mouse type. But "return", what key is ?

Enter is the name of the key

Then, you must have already pressed enter (what name does it have in your spanish keyboard?).
Pressing enter a second time, opens up the box to chat to others.

When in single player game, after you start, you will not be centered on your comander. Search for it and you will probably find it.

Build a base and some units.
Then type in the chat box: .cheat
Then type: .team 1

Then you are playing with the other commander on the battlefield with alot of enemies to destroy. Have fun!

No, it's true that sometimes pressing enter activate the chat windows instead of spawning commanders. When that happens I move around and retry pressing enter until it works.

The problem is, sometimes pressing enter doesn't spawn a commander but open the chat command instead. You don't have to insult him, he did press enter.
