Sync errors, loads of them

Post by gavan »

Do you have any idea as to why spring could suffer from sync errors during the game? It's always a (increasing) number, followed by an almost unchanging letter code. The last letter code i got was 'ME'.

I'm running a 1.8 sempron cpu, 1G of memory, low graphics settings.
I've tried lowering the resolution to 800x600, and still i get exaclty the same amount of sync errors.

Please help, i can't play like this :(

Enable port forwarding if you're behind a router.

Could be pathing related, try clearing the paths directory in the maps folder.

OK, I've deleted the paths, re-installed AA-spring 2.21 and tried again.

Unfortunately the sync errors continue to flow.. :(

Today we wanted to play a 3er FFA with nanoblobs.
Everybody used this download: http://www.wolfegames.com/TA_Section/NanoBlobs063.sdz
One guy would cause sync errors as soon as ingame although the lobby didn't show any problems. He said other mods worked fine.
We also tried different maps.

my prob aint no depending mod, it occurs with every mod or map. If i host, clients starts getting that same sync error after a while. I also closed both fsecure and winXP firewall hoping that it would solve that sync error but it didnt. in battle window there is that sync-box and it gives me OK-mark. is there hell anyone who can even suggest me single thing to do with this prob?!? and please dont tell me to reinstall or something like that, i have done it several times using different tricks or clean install.

Sync errors are caused by bugs, and 0.73b1 has a few. My advise is wait for 0.73b2.

i also get the sync error, but it takes a few hours of play for it to come, and then it just ends with both sides winning, yet playing in different realities.

we play on the same internett connection tough, using a hub,

one of my friend also got that sync error, I found the problems in fact it was me! an error of path exactly I reinstalled TA spring with the mods AA 2.23 I retried it and now it works and I don't know exactly why, maybe an error of pathing with maps, i reinstalled these too, the error was Sync Error XYZME 552 ( always increasing ) and with that kind of error you can communicate with the others players but if you destroy his commander, in reality he will not see his commander down ,yet playing in different realities. (very boring)

so remember: it can be yours! or the other players may cause that error it depends of the creator of the game

yours faithful.

Me and some friends played on LAN and got loads of sync errors, the game was just so out of sync it was pointless playing any further.
