I've got it all ready to hook up to the CVS server but I don't have any information to get them talking to eachother.

I have that, I'm referring to hooking up to the spring project and keeping updated:

--> cvs [server aborted]: "import" requires write access to the repository <--

Oh, an tortoise CVS blows. WinCVS is a much better option under windows.
