one comment picasso.. just cause I forgot to flip the texture on that wire vertically and add an alpha...

did you do those to the texture? otherwise they will come out solid black and look like dookie.. :P

if you need me to fix the texture real fast I can.. but meh, shouldn't be too hard to fix...

Sure, can you upload a fixed Version to Unknown..?

but feel warned

I never got that Far to have the Barbwire in the Map.. that is the Problem.. i have a few hundred Barbwires on the Feature Map and Map Conv complains.. and complains.. and sometimes even does no more complain, but simply crashes...

wait a mom

can you have errors for pixels in nearly black shade that have no feature assigned to them? Maybee that is my troublemaker...

yes, every pixel used has to be EXACTLY the ONE color specified...

might consider starting anew if its all blurry...

use the "diffuse" option on 100% opacity with photoshop if you are trying to get a brushed effect...

My pixels are not blurry, that Problems is fixed. I however took out - the Trees... (Green dots; but left Geos inside... and it worked).. is tree still a feature Problem.. Can you have to many Trees?

Is the Green spectre from 200 - 215 still allright ?

thats ALOT of effin grass and geos...

I know geo's can have issues with maps.... I'm not very good with maps and geo problems... but erm...

I dunno...

I wish I knew what it needs to work...

you could try a temporary 4x4 test map with 1 of every feature you have on that map to make sure that they features you have are not borked.

then without changing the fs.txt file or the tdf files, remove the features down to ONLY 1 *.s3o in the package at a time, make sure it loads on EACH feature... and if one of them won't load, its a bad feature...

and if its the barbwire... (though I doubt) I'll see if I can fix it.

so yeah,

1) - ask some GOOD mapper about the geovents (there's alot) and if that might be the problem...
2) - test all the features on a SMALL testmap (your map size might be causing the issue) I know maps that aren't square sometimes, if not a hex multiple 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, etc. will be buggy..
3) - try the map in spring with only one feature on it at a time (you don't need to recompile, if the model is gone spring throws a "unknown feature" error and keeps loading I.E. on my severnaya industrial map, its waiting for MORE features to get done still...)
4) - check the SMD file for the map, make sure you don't have negative sun direction or a type-o or something... these can, and will, usually crash maps
5) - make sure on the batch you compiled the map on, that you DO NOT CHANGE any of the filenames... (this usually just makes maps turn salmon pink though, not crash)

also, when you try to launch the map in spring.. what error do you get? :|

also, I've never used the featuremap to place trees (with green though I know there are only 2 tree types, maybe only green 215 and 214 work??)... meh, if you want... (just cause I need to do it anyways, I've planned on it) give me a screenshot or two or twenty of some "trees" you'd like to use on the map... and I'll whip some up.... (you'll have to use them as red dot features.. but it'll work)
