Large story about epic battles on large maps
Didn't mean to offend you or anything. I respect that you play epic battles on large maps. Everyone his share of fun. My point here was only that what is being played mostly at the moment in OTA(doesn't have to be the same for spring) are relatively small maps. I've never seen seven islands or anything like that in a real game. Most of the time ppl don't have half a day to play a game of TA. And the point of the game is to kill each other, which usually happens within something like one and a half hour max. Maybe eventually we'll get unlimited map sizes who knows. But at the moment I don't see much use to 100x100 map sizes being supported.
And is that Krogoth in 11 mins for a non metal map?
If you're buying in euros or yen, it's going to be even cheaper, what with the dollar falling. If you're buying in rupees, tell your governement to abolish the 50% tarrif on computer goods, and to stop pegging their currency to the dollar. The rupee would be stronger if it weren't pegged to the dollar. Also, the black market offers significant discounts. If you are buying in yuan, same deal. And if you are buying in taiwanese or south korean currency, the things are made only kilometers from where you live, so tell nvidia to stop price gouging potential employees.Sorry, there's whole rest of the world that doesn't use the US Dollar as currency and need to pay much higher prices to get the same equipment.
My real point, however, is that $50 is very cheap, historically, for a graphics card with nearly top of the line memory amounts (and there is only 1 512 mb card I could find on newegg). I doubt they are selling them at a loss to Americans, so that means that they are cheaper than they have ever been no matter whether you are paying in shekels or the ancient stone currency of easter island. Computers used to cost $2,000. Now you can put together a really good one for $400.
Hey, no offense taken. I just like to make my points strongly.Didn't mean to offend you or anything.

Yes. The secret is to build lots of metal storage, reclaim the buildings, and build nothing but a few level 1 kbots, a couple solar collectors, 5 or so missle towers, a fusion plant, and everything you need to build the gantry. City maps typically have enough metal on them to support your economy for a good 30 minutes if you are aggressive about eating the buildings... But it might have been 12 minutes. And is that Krogoth in 11 mins for a non metal map?
I doubt I could do it today, since a flash rush usually shows up in the first 10 minutes and would catch you with your pants down and big-K 3/4 done. I'm out of practice. Also, the krogoth rush typically loses to the nuke rush, since the missle flys faster than the krogoth can walk. Also, a lucky commander can dgun from full health and survive.
I think all weapons need extra power! Or should be able to mod into superpowered agains another tanks and vehicles. I think it's just too weird to see these long lasting attacks. Last time when I forgot my enemy was a core, there came a krogoth and it took a 10 min to shoot all my tanks even considering that krogoth have superior weapons! (Or at least it looks like a thing which can carry one big nuclear device capable of blowing a small piece of map down ).
Also I think choosing weapon systems and improving units would be great too if it wouldn't be cheap and in realistic limits, think about these all big ships in the game!
Spring needs bigger maps also. For now I feel it's useless to build expensive aircrafts because there are ab. only two maps where they are useful now.
These are my opinions and I gues they fights against the original TA -game design. What do you think?

Err, no, I hate one hit kills weapon. More powerful weapons would mean the first to fire a volley win, without any chance for the other to fight back, see what it was, or take advantage of armor to move under fire. And it's good that a krogoth take some times to destroy an armies. It increase the pressure if you've got time to see the krogoth coming and eating your defense one by one, and so you've got time to try a desperate counter-attak. While it would not be fun to have just the time to see it's a krogoth before being completly stormed.
Having modular units with choice of weapon could be nice, but maybe for some mods later, not now, and then you'd have to think a good interface to handle that. Because indivually mounting the pieces of each unit is not an option.
