client crashes at game starup

When i start taspring and the countdown for the game starts once it reaches 0 my game turns of and go back to desktop. What should i do? PLZ help me :cry: :cry: :cry:

consult the logfile.
on linux this is: DATADIR/infolog.txt

or quickly try another AI and another map.

I think I have similar problem and I think that the problem is due to my firewall (kerio). I have no solution today and i have write another post.

Are you hosting? What sort of machine are you using? What version of Spring? Which mod? Which maps?

We want to help, but it is a lot easier with specifics.

My taspring version is 0.72b1 and my computer meets high standerds so that not the problem. I have no mods except the once you start off with also its the same with the maps (mars and smalldivid). I usally try to play single player but somtimes i play online trying to host a match or my cuzins match.
If you need more info to try to help just ask.

yes we checked the infolog.txt it says nothing but:

Number of damage types: 12
Using EXT_framebuffer_object
TA Spring 0.72b1

and it ends. I was trying to help him out. He tried running sigle player with no AI, so its not the AI, or network connections. He can't connect to me and gets the same problem as with single player. Do you think its the firewall? Hope this helps clear things up...

PS: we also deleted map>paths files and tried again. Still same error.

As mentioned elsewhere spring doesnt use the network for local games.

try to increase debug level, see if the log gets more detailed

In the options under "Developer Settings"? Should it be increased all the wat to 10? Ziamor, try that and send me your infolog.txt, or post what it says here. remeber to delete all what it says now to get a fresh message!

Ok ill try when i get home right now i am in my high school doing work. Sorry I did not reply in a long time my accont on this web got messed up and i got not log in. I hope this works.

It still does not work i moved the developer setting to 10 but it still does not work i also earsed the infolog so whan i checked it back it says:
Number of damage types: 5
TA Spring 0.72b1
Do you see the problem :?: :?: :?:

Run spring.exe, select "Commanders", then any mod, any map and see if it still "crashes". If not, then you were probably doing something wrong.

Yea I already told him to do that. Don't think hes doing anything wrong, he just got a fresh copy of it and unmooded except for a few things. Maybe try a complte new installation again...I wonder if the beta versions would work better, or are they to buggy still....

I unstalled and took out the mods then redownloaded the game. When i played this morning i was able to play online for a bit but if lots of explosions hapend it exits from me what should i do?
