So many words to smith, so little time

Post by Zoombie »

Well Darkside is coasting to its inevitable semi-happy ending, so I don't really need to worry over much about that.

Hunters is, unfortunately smashed into a tree and on fire. That is I know where I want to go...but I don't know how to GET to that damn place. And without the one, the other is useless.

So I shall shelve Hunters until I can think of what to do with it.

Now I am faced with two stories I can write once I'm done with Darkside, and because I can't decide which one... I will put up a poll!

Which one do YOU want?

Story 1: Homecoming; In the far flung future humanity clings to life with the vigor of a drowning man. A hostile alien race has spread throughout the galaxy, annihilating billions of Humans over a hellish decade called ├óÔé¼┼ôThe End Times├óÔé¼┬Ø. Flash forward Six Hundred years later...

The United States of Human Space, or USHS, has managed to bring humanity back from the brink, using alien technology found on a bizarre world in orbit around Alpha Centauri B. Now a thin trickle of thirteen colonies are surviving. The government is split up between multiple factions, each one vying for dominance in the political arena. It is a tense universe, and the aliens are only becoming more numerous every day.

Miles is a Journeyman, a man owning a star ship that can travel semi-safefully between star systems. He brings trade goods, and his own...unique talents. Part journalist, part bard, part scribe, part trader, part warrior, Miles thinks he's seen it all. Thats before his ship almost runs into a derelict shuttle. On the shuttle a single cryogenic tube holds a comatose woman, with only a single tattoo as a hint to her identity. The computer scans of her brain chow's that she can talk...she just doesn't want too. Who is this woman, and why dose it seem that half the known universe if willing to fight to the death over her? As the USHS begins to fall apart, a mysterious religious organization comes forward with startling information. As Miles has to deal with this mysterious woman, a religious zealot, a very old military commander and a deadly entourage of criminals, the alien race that has decimated humanity begins to make a terrifying comeback.

Story 2: Patient Gamma;

She wakes up in the morgue, sealed in a body bag. She has no memory of how she got there, who she is, or what she has to do. With nothing more then a mysterious message found on the computer and a chase of stolen food, money and a single aged pistol, She heads into the city surrounding the Morgue. Now chased by the police, a terrorist organization and haunted by terrifying dreams, this woman has only one name ├óÔé¼┼ôPatient Gamma├óÔé¼┬Ø. She also has the bizarre ability to examine an object for a few moments then know every single bit of information about it. She knows almost everything to know...everything but her name. Gamma finds some refugee in a run-down coffee shop, run by an elderly African American gent named Charles, but unfortunately nothing is as it seems...and Gamma has to face some terrifying truths about herself, and her past.

So whatever you dudes choose, be aware...that it will have guns, sex, violence, crazy ass plot twists and more spaceships then you can shake a stick at. So vote!

VOOOOOOTE!

Patient Gamma one. It reminds me of the Bourne Identity, and that was a great movie/book. Write the other one after Gamma though, it sounds damn good as well.

They both are good idea's, hence the poll. But this poll will run to the end of Darkside, and then I shall check out the votes.

Also I never saw the Bourn Identety. Herd of it, but never saw it.
