Molten Robots Feature Request..

Post by PicassoCT »

Hi Lathan,

i could use two more Features.

they should look like Robots, who had been hit by a Laserbeam just seconds ago, and "died" freezing in a dramatic, struggling, pose.
There Molten InnerParts should have been liquid and flood out of them, when it returned into solid state. The "Once-Molten-Slug" should be still glowing red- orange. And it would be cool if the Robos inner skeletton would be visible, just like human rips..

Additional the Features should have a rest of Red Glow in there "Eyes"

Here is a primitve Photoshoppainting.

Thx for the Hard Work, after Servernaya i doubt there is anything limited on your side, except time...

That sounds like you think that is something positive. But having strange ideas sucks in Reallife. Everyone starts hating you for strange poltical views or the search for new sollutions on old Work-Problems. Humans like there Rails...
And you can forget the Idea of working in a Game Company with Strange Ideas in the Head. If peoplz realize things get risky (all strange ideas have that) they start avoiding you...

Back to topic. This Robots are not Risky - they are just more detailed wreckage - instead of smoke, with molten Metall. Nothing really knew - i am shure other Peoplz would use them, that is not a one-way-use Thing. :-)

I can "try"... eventually....

but thats a HARD FRIGIN model to make look "real" or... pass as "real"...

glowing molten stuff?

I can't animate textures, I have no "lights" I can add, nor a self-illumination...

the "glow" is just gonna be reddish orange, and not even be that impressive...

it'll look more like a heap of "stuff" with a red blob in the middle..

think playdough and silverware stuck in it... thats what it'll look like in game...

but I dunno, I can give it a try I assume.. :?

It needs an animated texture, otherwise you mays as well just texture it with something that says "This is molten" in black text on a white background.

Isn't there that neonish effect like we have for textures? Does that apply to map models and textures?

u mean the glowmaps? that would work for the eyes and might be passable for the molten parts as well.
