Space Marines have so many added organs, they need to be massive. The errata behind making them is sickening.

:O

Wow, I didn't realize there was actually a WH40K mod out there...

Hm. This puts me in a dilemma. I was bored over the past week and decided to make my own WH40K unknowing of this one. I've completed 16 units (All Imperial Guard) which are 100% complete and working EXCEPT the Chimera doesn't load troops (lazy) and there are no textures whatsoever. The picture below shows how I just essentially put colour on them. Yes... colour...

There's what I got so far.. that stupid Sentinel walking script was annoying and I'd still like to make it better.. anyway, what to do? Hm...

It might be good to merge the two! Space Marines and Imperial Guard were being pushed together to some degree...

Merge or I'll just hand over everything I've done.. doesn't matter. I doubt my units have been made the same methods and ways as Guess' and I know what it's like to have to try and mash your own units with someone else's... also I'm busy with S44. Hopefully.

And God no Space Marines aren't twice as tall as a man! More like a foot or so... of course I'm sure Imperial Guardsmen have some genetic enhancement to some degree, but just compare the models. Termies on the other hand would be like 9 feet tall...

BTW, is this based on WH40k or Epic? From the title I'd guess Epic :p. Not that it'd make a big difference in an RTS.

I think the balence is Warhammer 40 K but the Scale is Epic. Why?

Cause Epic scale...is...better.

And I don't have the Epic Rulebook. Though I hear you can download it online at the specialist games site (legally)

You are correct sir it is there along with all of its supplements. they are all Big @$$ PDFs. The only reason epic is in the title is so that he can put in titans :P

I think you guys should pool your resources and create an uber WH40K mod. Both of you have some skills.

Plus the workload for each of you would be smaller.

for a while we did. GMN got every IG tank cept superheavies and few others modelled. I got every IG air unit except the Lightning modelled (hell i think i even did some basic body work on it) however my models have tons of wasted polys that for sure. Im still a noob at modeling so my things aren't exactly "optimized"

I would take a playable mod over an unplayable optimized one.

actually WD seems to handle infantry quite well in my opinion.but all this is besides the point. bloody good models and i'd liek to see it as a playable thing even if it is just imp guard vs guard.

yeah FF isn't a limiting factor anymore. The SWS guys did testing/implementation with the new tags on their infantry and now, no more 18th century musket lines :P Of course the one problem is that units can shoot thru buildings which look a little off but meh i could care less.
