I'm sure this has already been brought up, although I can't find the relevant thread to post in. Would it be possible to include an option for firing at one's own units? Currently units won't accept the order to attack units under your control, and when in controlling mode, you can't even aim directly at friendly units and structures. In fact, in controlling mode, you can't even target trees directly, making deforesting difficult. There is apparently a 'free fire' mode in controlling mode, but this doesn't seem to allow me to overcome this automatic ally avoidance system. (What is free fire mode for, by the way?)
Is there any chance that the option to fire on and through one's own units will be added at some point? (Or already is somewhere in the game? I didn't see anything in the readme about it.)
Firing on and over one's own units

free fire
the 'free fire' means AI fire at will,
ie you just stear.

I have a (imho) important issue on this fireline .. if i am right a unit stays in inactive mode if fireline to an enemy unit is blocked by a friendly unit. This is no problem for most lasers and cannons as they can engage quickly from inactive mode.
Anyway it's a major issue for weapons like annihilator from arm! As this weapon has a very long setup time.
I would suggest that a defense structure stays active if an enemy is in range, but it doesn't fire if there is no free sight to that enemy.
i hope you know what i mean.
