Linux packages

Post by clericvash »

Well since we have a windows package are we going to have a linux package?

We could have debs, rpms etc but i think that may be too much, mabye a script that can auto-get svn files? (tagged or devel), it shouldn't be too hard, i've seen many like it before.

Mabye one that can auto-make it as well if needed?

Ehh u do realise gonna around package managers is bad & just gets messy.
Plus u then have to figure out how to uninstall using script.

But on that note.

We should aim to get these packages done
  • Source RPM
    Source Debian
After those 2 done, peep can build for individual distros.

And i really should get around to getting gentoo ebuilds done.

Is Fbo still around? He did a great job, and it would be really cool to install spring with only :
-Add repository
-apt-get install spring spring-base spring-aa-2.1 spring-gui
