Dear Spring Devs:

Post by Fire Falcon »

Please continue working on the water in spring, after observing it at a blistering 5 frames per second, I have concluded that it does not feel wet enough. Please cease all bug fixing, all OTA style feature adding, all "new cool and useful feature" adding and keep working on the water till I am unable to tell an ocean in spring from a slide show of a vacation in the Virgin Islands. This is very important, and could possibly make or break the future of Spring.

If you dont like spring, then gtfo. We dont need you here, and you dont need to be here. You're wasting everyone's time.

I'm a mod developer, and when you actually have a decent computer, you will understand why the dynamic water is unbelievably cool, and enhances gameplay.

I'm sorry that you don't currently own a computer fast enough to handle it, because you're just missing out, honestly.

Sorry i missed the demo - but how does dynamic water enhance gameplay again? :P

Granted, it does look sweet - its not always bad to have things that just look pretty, you know. ;)

mmm...

I'd call just being able to see this (and trust me, in realtime, it's even sexier)... a gameplay improvement :-) The script that makes this effect work is easy to add to any mod, too :-)

Mmm... tasty... less FPS cost than true dynamic... but nicer than the current static... man, this next version's going to rock so hard...

Um, what is that scrub complaining about again?

So is it the partially submerged part that's revolutionary?

I cannot see how anything graphical enhances gameplay. In all seriousness, if you think it does, please explain how, else I will remain thoroughly confused.

The devs can work on whatever they want, naturally, but there are problems and issues that have been around for a long time that many people would like fixed. It may seem like unglamourous work, but believe me, the dev that implements a few of these much-requested features will be much more deserving of praise - and will likely receive more - than something like this.

Yes, sort've. Have you tried that version of NanoBlobs yet, with dynamic water on? It's pretty darn cool :-)

And "gameplay enhancement" is not just nuts and bolts, people! Gamers want and appreciate the flash and glitter, too!

Ooooooh it enhances gameplay! Just like the Tree shadow option enhances it too, eh?

Oh well. We don't need a good game. We need water.

+1 from above poster. >_>

Water looks nice. Gameplay fixes are even nicer ...

Course devs should have fun with their coding too - its a hobby after all! :D and you get what you pay for :P

Shiny Water updates are women with boobs; gameplay fixes are women who can cook.

pardon the sexism >_>
