BuildPic Transparencies.

Post by AF »

You should be able to fade out the edges of buildpics or add rounded corners, or even have just wireframe models if you want.......

You won't like this a bit but I think it's best to wait for the "new gui", if cegui is implemented correctly you can customize the gui the way you need it. The main dev's don't seem to be interested in improving the current gui when it's going to get replaced.

Yeah, but that's a catch 22... again, no offense to the current guy working on it (if there is one, I don't keep 100% up to date on it), but it took a year and a half just to get readable freaking text on the current GUI--because no one wanted to touch something that was going to be replaced "soon."

Besides, it doesn't exactly take much to square off the buildpics and snap the GUI to the screen edges... do that and what we have (plus the readable text) is relatively passable.

Oh, and death to the blue box.

The "new gui" is a myth. I don't believe in it. Proof: everybody who went on a quest for the new gui never returned.

While I agree that of course customiseable GUI would be very sweet, sadly it's not going to happen anytime soon.

But on a more positive note, I'm happy to see that the GUI is about to change from that to that. Much more readable and pleasant to the eye! Image

If it was a myth, people would come back frustrated and annoyed. The fact that they haven't come back means that it is guarded by a very hungry dragon.

Agree. I compiled it once with it's transparency set to 100%. It looked 100% better.
