I think Swiftspear is justified in his statement. If you own something, you should have a say in what happens to it, right?
Anyway, let's not talk about that. I think this Cookiebot issue is pretty much over, since there is a distict lack of arguments against it.

Felix: bots broadcast content, we have every reason to want to maintain control over the content allowed to be broadcast on our servers. There is no set of rules you can follow that automatically give you permission to have a bot running on our server, you need to let the administrators of the server know that the bot is running and what it does and receive permission from them. A bot isn't like a user where we need to make rules to govern the way they behave and in turn they play the game and spread the word if they like it, a bot only executes it's programmed commands, which is why we want to know the precise nature of the bot in order to allow it access to our public channel, or in extreme cases even our server.
I agree that bots CAN be detrimental to the community, that is why we REQUIRE that they be given permission to be run. If the argument is that the current form of cookiebot is detrimental to the community then I'd have to argue that it really isn't, that is why AF has been given permission to run it.

To clear things up and end this discussion:
#main is where everyone (or most people) gather that play Spring currently, and problem with bots is they may be intrusive, i.e. printing out much nonsense and overbloating the channel. Since it is such a sensitive topic it is only right that you ask moderator for permission to permanently put such a bot in main channel, so that he may review your bot (estimate how much bloat it will produce and decide if that is acceptable) since not everyone feels fine with having such a bot in main channel.
I see cookiebot is no longer in #main, so problem solved.
