Ground Attack?
I was wondering, how do i set a weapon to always attack a certain spot on the ground? Id rather set my LRPC to just lay siege to the ground than constantly tracking targets.
simply hit the "attack" button (or press "A") and click on the ground you wish to attack. You will have to use the stop command to stop the attack. The unit you are forcing to fire at the ground will not engage any enemies while force-firing on the ground. If the unit is unable to attack the desired point (say it's behind a hill or something), it will either try to move closer to attack (if mobile), or just not attack at all (if it is a building).

Well, with LRPCs, it ends up being a certain area anyways.Zoombie wrote:A certin area sounds more usefull to me.
Tip: since LRPCs tend to overshoot their targets a lot when attacking the ground, always leave plenty of room between your target and the map edge. If you set an LRPC to attack very near the map edge, a lot of your shots (meaning anywhere from 1 out of 10 to well over half, depending on how close we're talking about) will fly off the map and do no damage to the enemy.
Instead, ensure that there is ample space between your attack target and the map edge.
Also, it seems to me that LRPCs overshoot more than they undershoot, so if you're attacking a large cluster of buildings, set your fire point toward the front of the cluster, as opposed to the middle or back.
