umm...randy and I were playing speed metal and had been playing for ~30 minutes and was sending wave after wave of tanks into my heavy turret positions (they all had ~5exp and 10k or so of health), after a cpl of nukes i desynced and the rest of the nukes took out around half the turret positions- i dont know if he should get the title, personally i think a rematch is fair.
i dont fancy watching the replay though, its too god damn laggy.

Look, I generated the title where any challenger could pick their map, and I stand by that idea. I personally have no fondness for metal maps, but the right of choice is the challenger's and any restriction there just isn't on.
Also, if you must blame somebody for the map, blame the challenger. They pick, they run with it. I gave BoredJoe the title after designing it because he demonstrated qualities I would expect in a potential KoEE, mainly flexibility and tenacity, and was not a member of [EE].

It's more about the design and balance of EE than it is about like or dislike of metal maps; it's a simple fact that EE does not play as it was intended, heck it doesn't play well at all, on metal maps.neddiedrow wrote:Look, I generated the title where any challenger could pick their map, and I stand by that idea. One could argue the same thing about any mod but IMO EE is above and beyond other mods in this respect.

You should, cause EE plays Very Very badly on them by design. In fact at one point there was an effort to make it so that if you played EE on speedmetal anything you built would cause you to drain -999999999 metal constant.
Regardless of that, EE is just no good and no fun on metal maps. TA was made with metal maps in mind, EE was made with Metal Maps being nonexistant.
A better discription. On metal maps EE turns into nothing more than a Nanoblobs Click-spam fest.
