Recording game?

Post by Torrasque »

SY said that you can record game like in tademo. But how? I've read the read, read the forum, but I don't remember reading somewhere that we can use it.

The game is always recorded to test.sdf which is overwritten in each new game. Change the name if you want to save it. To view a demo start spring.exe as non server and enter the demo name as server address

Now that deserves a place in the README files...

... and enter the demo name, including its .sdf suffix

Works great and all, but would it be possible to have the part where Spring waits for player automatically skipped? I created a game directly by spring.exe and it was joined and played (via IP) five minutes after, and now in the demo there's a five minutes pause at the beginning. Any plan to add commands such as the .pos and .speed of old TA demo recorder?
