Could someone please clean it up? I've tried using Central Build AI numerous times in games and it doesnt ever behave predictably.

Coulds omeone please clarify the wiki page with:
  • What exact process to enable it
    What the builders assigned to it will do
    How the AI will be affected by the "repeat" status of a unit
    It's shortfalls
From what I've managed to sniff out, it seems like it should be doign something good - but i can never get the darn thing to work!

Units will try and build as much at the same time as possible. I dont really know much about it because I rarely use it though because it sort of puts you at arms length when controlling the group, cause it blocks out alot of the orders you can give them.
I think its for building alot of things with low build times.

It's an advantage when you have builders with slow nanorods, eg lvl 1 vehicles, so they don't have to waste time when building cheap stuff like say Dragonsteeth.
With the empty AI they would work at a crawl, wasting time on their on/off animations(which actually take longer than to actually build the DT). With CBAI they could have it built in a jiffy(no pun intended :P) by distributing the workload.

central build AI cant be sued to build features as it reclaims and rebuilds the features in a neverending construction spree

I heard rumors that there was a way to set CBAI so that it could, say, continually build a particular combination of things as long as the group was alive - meaning that you would place a Fusion and a Moho Metal Maker on the map, and it would continue building them in whatever open space it could find, in that order of Fus -> MMM. Is this true, and if so, how do you use it?

really? I believe thats a totally different groupAI compeltely and I dont think ti even exists.

What you're talking about is setting builders on repeat and then building a fusion + moho so that if one of them is destroyed it gets rebuilt.

No, i was in fact talking about what i was talking about.


But okay, thanks for the clarfication.


And this will really reall really help to eliminate unit jams when building vast amounts of metal makers and winds etc late game!
