Amazon touts anti-Israeli views,
On July 4, Amazon spammed its customers with advertisement of Norman Finkelstein's virulently anti-Semitic book, Image and Reality of the Israeli-Palestine Conflict. On May 30, Amazon similarly advertised Beyond Chutzpah: on the Misuse of Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History. I have never received any other ad from Amazon.
On April 4, in an unprecedented move, Amazon deleted all reviews of Obadiah Shoher's Samson Blinded: A Machiavellian Perspective on the Middle East Conflict. A few days later, Amazon forced its subsidiary Booksurge to terminate publishing contract with Shoher whose book is now available for download from http://www.samsonblinded.info . Google earlier banned advertising of the Samson Blinded for "unacceptable content." Shoher, indeed, is pro-Israeli, yet realistic and critical of Israeli policies.
Obadiah Shoher, an anonymous politician, abandons myths and moralizing in favor of realpolitik. He argues for raw efficiency of antiterrorist operations and shedding liberal idealism. Shoher asks inconvenient questions and gives honest answers. Amazon does not like that. Anti-Semitic lampoons by Norman Finkelstein are more to Amazon's taste.

Well, they must have their reasons
These are very high profile organisations. To be accused of (whatever -ism is used for being biased against someone of a different religion - unless you're a Scientologist because they have super-attack-lawyers) would be pretty damaging to them.
Though, to be honest, The Israeli blockade (and bombardment) of Lebannon isn't exactly popular - their attempts to destroy Hezbollah is catching a lot of innocent civilians in the cross-fire, not to mention their homes and the country's infastructure. The bridges, for instance, have been destroyed, and that's going to cause all kinds of hell for Lebannon's economy.
To be honest, the bombardment is probably getting Hezbollah even more support. Whilst a few may blame Hezbollah for getting them in this predicament, many will be a wee bit angry over being fenced in a shot at with big cannons. Think about it. Where you live - your home, your family, your friends, all of you are being bombarded because some people you aren't even affiliated with pissed some other people off. If you try to escape you'll probably get killed. If you stay put you'll probably get killed. Israel is destroying their homes and killing their friends and famillies, of course they're going to fight!
The best way would involve cease-fire and negotiations - something pretty much everyone else wants to happen, but because Bush is heroically sitting on his arse over the issue, nothing's happening.
What the hell happened to commen sense?

The only language these people understand is violence. The UN is a small flacid d.... in the hands of a drunken sailor. Sanctions and resolutions do nothing. Check up on your history.Guessmyname wrote:The best way would involve cease-fire and negotiations - something pretty much everyone else wants to happen, but because Bush is heroically sitting on his arse over the issue, nothing's happening.

I would like to state that I am in favor of pie.
However, my policy is anti-walrus - or as I like to describe it, pro-penguin. The pro-walrus crowd is really a pro-penguin-death-by-decapitation camp, who like to see penguins get their death by decapitation, which naturally leads to the penguins being injured at the expense of the walruses.
However, the pro-penguin-death-by-decapitation folks are ignoring the key issue of this campaign, which is the horrible atrocities committed by the Unitarian Universalist Church. As we all know, the Unitarians are a domestic terror organization dedicated to spreading the myth of Unitarian Universalism, which has something to do with unity. They must be stopped before their united unitarian beliefs in the universe threaten traditional American values, such as Ronald Reagan and apple pie and LEE IACOCCA!
Thank you.
