I am interested as well.

Bvdorp was claiming that inability to ignore forum negativity was due to a lack of social skills. I made a point earlier saying it is easy to say that but harder to do. I wanted to make that point abundantly clear to bvdorp as he made his statement earlier with such conviction.

For what it is worth I think it is way too early to judge this, another in a long line of ta varients. Someone will come up with a good mod in all of this. I have just been quiet because Hawkki still has a way to go and we really cannot judge it until it is ingame.

As far as noobs moding the TA varients... it is just a matter of changing numbers but MAYBE, just MAYBE a player might know what he/she wants to play. Moders, coders, modelers... etc see what we want to happen. Players see the end results. My ONLY issue with this is that it is based on TA crap.

This is all a bit strong lads cmon you cant just blast hawkki right off the bat!

I admit when I read the first post about this I was a bit skeptical but if its converted into a style similar to the epic version off ee it could rock like ACDC PANTERA AND LED ZEPPELIN all moulded into one huge kind of big rocky kind of thing...
anyway, keep at it Hawkki, flip them off and keep going, I think this might be fun, the idea behind the radar los makes a bit more sense if it has a similar scale to epic me thinks.

Ta crap smoth?wha.. bah, pt... ugh pffft, you little!... oh good lord!

/me slaps smoth with a wet kipper (not too hard though cos I like his mod)

:-)

"theyre shooootin me sirr!"

Golden ^^

ps. A kipper is a fish, dunno if they call them that overseas. :?

I have always laughet at your amazing hostile attitude here in almost every post you make. But this brings home the prize! There is no creative criticism in your whole post so i choose to ignore it completely.

What comes to you others supporting me, big thanks for the spirit! I know the changelog might look funny atm but i hope it'l make sense as i get more done. This is only the beginning and there will not be any test versions out before there is anything to test.

there's no way anyone can draw any kind of conclusions about a mod this early - ignore the bitching and carry on regardless! good luck

Anyway I like the basic idea. Are you going to nerf the damage/hitpoints too or introduce something like a paper/rock/scissor system?
I am trying to avoid this paper/rock/scissors thing as far as possible, but in some cases you must sacrifice credibility in terms of gameplay. As an example of this is the commander explosion only does 2000 damage to other commanders while the default damage value remains unchanged 25000. This ought to effectively remove the combombing, and if not removing, making it a tactical gesture instead of "hey there's the enemys commander, lets run into him trading one commander for one plus everything of hes base he has surrounding him"

Now in the latest version we got the nukes to look&feel like NUKES :) Damage remains unchanged so bigger units will survive if not hit right on spot, but the drastically increased AoE makes sure it wipes out everything smaller in a BIG circle.

Ah, well that is true I suppose, but I am guessing most civilian Arm (if there is such a thing at all) wouldn't be riding around in peewee-suits all day long, and the core is most likely not below attacking civilians. Bomb all Arm planets with deadly viruses, watch it kill the population and then jusy play a game of attrition until the arm run out of people.
Or if they genuinely want to be left alone, the core could just go into outer space and float for a few thousand or milllions years until they arrive at the next galaxy, not like they are going to die of old age anyway.

I'm pretty sure a post of mine in this thread disappeared btw, I said that the Soviets had some gun-howitzers that could fire both above and below the 45 degree line depending on the situation, that was relevant to your comment about Punishers being both gun and mortar. I think the crafty Russkies even manufactured one gun-mortar, but it wasn't too terribly effective.

Cheesecan, go to hell. Seriously. GTFO. Leave. You are adding nothing to the net value of the Internets.

Min3mat, you criticize EVERY FUCKING THING that anyone says on these forums. You are NOT fucking God or Chuck Norris or whatever, you do NOT know all and command all, and you need to SHUT THE FUCK UP before you let the stupid out kthnxdie.

*whew* I've been wanting to do that mat-rant for a long time now.

5120 nukeblasts??? Are you nuts? I've got 2048 nukes in CvC and those already rip huge holes into the map (I'm considering nerfing them a bit). One 5120 nuke would wipe smaller maps completely.

If you're going for realism over gameplay the com blast needs to be MUCH bigger. He carries anti matter, that backpack should be enough to blast the atmosphere off a planet.

Com explosions destroy other coms so you can't run over there, dgun him and come back alive. Allowing the com to survive the com blast would mean that if the enemy sent his com in order to cripple you he could come back alive by dgunning your com. If his com gets dgunned, bfd, he'll still blast you back into the stoneage while his base remains unhurt.

Red Dwarf ftw...

M3m, please do stop posting 'OMG STFU NOOB' posts everywhere. =S

Wouldn't be it be better to scale down all the units and ranges, thereby making smaller nukes, than just only playing on the biggest maps?

No, I only edited out flames, there was another thread about this somewhere, I made a comment in it, I forget what it was, but clearly my comment is not here.
